Capturing the Magic
Ah, the holiday season - a time filled with twinkling lights, cozy moments, and, of course, capturing those precious memories with your little ones! Here are some tips to take some awesome photos of your kids this Holiday season! You do NOT need a big fancy camera for this! I promise!
This one takes a little more prep, but if you have a new baby then you must try it! Find yourself a Santa suit and a little knitted outfit and when your baby is in a sleepy state then lay them on their belly and stand infant of a nice natural light source. Remember what's positioned behind you. For this shot I had a mini Christmas tree to add some pretty detailed lights.
This one is super easy and fun! Give your kiddo a fun mug. I didn't have anything in this because well I knew it would be spilt everywhere. I gave my daughter these fun ear muffs and put her in front of our big window in our front room and told her pretend to be drinking hot chocolate. We finished with a real cup of hot chocolate to celebrate!
Go out and capture the memories!
This is really not difficult. You do not need a ton of props or a big fancy camera. The biggest suggestion I have is pay attention to your light source! You want to make sure your subject is well lit. A big window in your house will be a perfect light to create such magical moments of your kids. My kids love creating these with me and I know yours will too!
